Bone morphogenetic- protein rece-ptor lB (BMPR-lB) is a fecundity major genes affecting reproductivity in sheep. In the present study, variation of BMPR-1 B gene exon 8 was investigated in 85 Lori ewes. The"polymerase chain reaction-single strand conformational polymorphism (PCR- -SSCP) and DNA sequencing methods were used to detect single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) for amplification of a fragment with 140-bp at this locus.
